GENESIS FILM ARCHIVE | THE EARLY YEARS
A collection of Dan Haynes most early creative work which developed his unique voice in the art of visual storytelling. Many of these short films were experimental in nature which allowed his craft to be refined. These projects allowed Dan Haynes to grow and learn in a safe and collaborative environment. In many ways this was his film school.
Released in 2020 Bad Bitch was a Short inspired by the trash cinema, midnight madness aesthetic, and classic cult films of the 60's,70's, and 80's. It had an 80's-esque spirit and was primarily made as a film for Dan Haynes to experiment and allow for refinement of his craft. It premiered at the Houston comedy film festival and was a finalist in two categories.

Darkness Within was an ultra short film used as a stepping stone and proof of concept for Dan Haynes' later work Bad Bitch.
2019
Curse of the golden skull was the first time Dan Haynes worked with actors. The Actors were on a volunteer basis and the entire Short Film was shot in one day. The film explores the dangers of greed through a mystic medieval tone.

The Cure was a thought experiment shot for a ministry to be made into a YouTube series that never panned out. Primarily it was a favor Dan Haynes did for his brother Kenneth Haynes in order to inspire those of faith. Since the series never continued Dan Haynes reworked the material years later and turned it into a Short Film titled "The Cure."
